PerfectView Software:
The driver of the new ViewScan 5 is the industry tested PerfectView sfotware. ST Imaging engineers have created the most intuitive user software experience for a microfilm scanner.
PerfectView software is a powerful tool for microfilm researchers that streamlines the browsing, scanning and saving of images stored on microfilm.
Users easily read headlines in PerfectFocus without waiting for the image to refresh with images streaming live from our 20 megapixel image sensor. Quickly crop the article or scan the entire page. Each scan is then saved into the Image Ribbon (formerly known as the Image Bin).
The Image Ribbon stores the scans during the session, which can be recalled at any time. Enhanced details of the image thumbnail can be viewed by resizing the Image Ribbon. Scans can also be further enhanced with Adjustment controls that include, contrast, brightness, sharpness, and more.
Once scanned, the image can be saved in many different formats and exported through multiple channels, including email, Google Drive, Dropbox, and USB. Of course, the file can be sent to any network printer.
When ST Imaging says the ViewScan 5 has a 20 megapixel camera that uses a 20 megapixel image sensor… Scan Smarter. Some microfilm scanners use lower-resolution image sensors and use enhancement technology to create an image. The ViewScan 5 microfilm scanner produces crisp and clear HD images, even while browsing — all the time.
When ST Imaging says we have simple, easy-to-use software… Research Deeper. Our PerfectView software feels more like an application and less like microfilm scanning software. No confusing menus. Nothing to select to enable the camera. Simply a user-friendly, clean, intuitive interface. Just high-quality images — all the time.
When ST Imaging says we have advanced technology that can make better images faster, and you can save time browsing, printing, saving and sharing images… It’s clear, we do. Browsing microfilm can represent a large majority of research time. The last thing you want to do is spend time looking at low-resolution images. The ViewScan 5 allows you to search your film archive with an HD system that is always on, so you can Browse, Print, Save or Share beautiful 20-megapixel images — all the time.
Camera Options
The ViewScan 5 camera can be equipped with a 9 megapixel black and white image sensor or a 20 megapixel color image sensor. No matter if you are browsing, saving or sharing you always get the full output from our image sensor.
